Should you stay friends with someone who never initiates contact?

If youre always asking your friend to hang out and the person doesnt initiate any get-togethers, it could be that theyre socially anxious. But it could also be that you want to hang out with them more than they want to spend time with you. Thats a sure sign of a one-sided friendship.
