Although the area of Amsterdam Red light district may look dodgy, it is certainly not any dangerous place to stay. It is actually quite safe and well controlled part of the city, Amsterdams heart of night entertainment.

We cannot stress this unspoken rule enough, but it is definitely not a good idea to take pictures or videos of the prostitutes in the Red Light District. Not only is it completely disrespectful to take pictures or videos of someone without their consent, its also a violation of privacy.
