Question: Are Peterson pipes handmade?

Advantages. While “factory made” may invoke images of greasy gears humming and hunch-backed ogre men mindlessly pushing buttons, pipes like those from Peterson and Stanwell are actually made by skilled workmen. The raw block is cut mechanically, but the drilling, fitting, and finishing is completed entirely by hand.

Is Peterson Pipe Tobacco discontinued?

As far as I know, they are not being discontinued. They will no longer be available in some areas though, and some of their less sold blends might be put out of production. This info comes from The Danish Pipeshop where I purchase most of my tobacco, and Peterson will no longer be available there.
