DTS:Neo6 Cinema is the recommended mode for a 6.1 surround system. The following are my observations and measurements for some of the more common surround processing technologies. Dolby Pro Logic II – delivers up to 7.1 channels of audio from any mono, stereo or matrix-encoded content.
Is 7.1 the best surround sound?
The reality is that there are high-level systems in both disciplines, but where the features are the same or similar, the 7.1 is going to sound better. The depth and greater precision of the sound will be noticeable. It is probably also going to be more expensive on a like for like basis with a 5.1 system.
Is 5.1 or 7.1 channel better?
A 7.1 system is a great choice for larger rooms where sound may get lost in the space. It provides a deeper surround sound listening experience. Theater quality media designed for a 7.1 system will come through clearer than it would on a 5.1 system.
What is surround sound mode?
This mode detects the type of input digital signal, and automatically selects the corresponding mode for playback. Perform stereo playback when the input signal is PCM. When the input signal is Dolby Digital or DTS, the music is played back according to the respective channel number.
Are Dolby Atmos speakers worth it?
Dolby Atmos being able to create a near real-life listening experience from a movie, video game, or film recording makes it absolutely worth it. This object-based audio system takes surround sound to a whole new level by creating a bubble in which sound comes from all angles.
Is DTS better than Dolby?
DTS is encoded at a higher bit-rate and therefore is considered by some experts to be better quality. Others argue that Dolby Digitals technology is more advanced and produces better sound quality at a lower bit-rate.
