Question: Does West Point accept females?

When the Class of 1980 arrived at West Point, they were the only 119 women at the academy in a sea of more than 4,000 cadets. By the time they graduated, only 13% of the Corps of Cadets was female. Forty years later, there are 1,026 women across the four classes making up 23% of the Corps.

Can you go to West Point if you are married?

No. Now there have been cases where a cadet has “secretly” been married, but, per regulations, being married (and/or having dependents) is forbidden while a cadet. Those who do get married receive no benefits otherwise available to married service personnel.

Is going to West Point free?

There is no tuition to attend. Students (Cadets) accepted into West Point are members of the U.S Army, and each Cadet receives an annual salary, room, board, medical and dental care.
