Military regulations chiefly regulate against dating between two soldiers of different ranks. Military policy in all branches prohibits all kinds of fraternization between soldiers of different grades; while the prohibited relationship is officer/enlisted solider, it also applies to any two different grades of soldier.
Can soldiers date other soldiers?
Any relationship between Soldiers of different ranks, which is too personal in nature, will cause problems in a unit -- its simply a matter of time. The Army also prohibits relationships between certain categories of Soldiers, regardless of any command or unit affiliation.
Can an army officer date an enlisted soldier?
No. The policy on unprofessional relationships between officer and enlisted is the same for all Services. Thus, a prohibited relationship between an Army officer and an Army enlisted soldier would still be prohibited if between a Navy officer and Army enlisted soldier.
Can army officers marry?
As per Indian Army rules, the officers or soldiers cannot marry foreign citizens till they give up their nationality and apply for Indian citizenship. In this case, as such a possibility was difficult, Vikas, who had joined the Army in 2000, decided to quit the Armed Forces.
Can you smoke a soldier in the army?
Basically, smoke sessions are not authorized as they are a form of punishment. With that stated leaders can use a reasonable number of physical exercises as corrective training if authorized by the commander (See FM 7-22 extract below).
What tattoos are not allowed in the Army?
The Army tattoo policy was updated and relaxed in 2015 but is still one of the most strict in the military. It prohibits any tattoos on the head, face, neck, wrists, hands, or above the t-shirt collar. Essentially, any visible body tattoos are prohibited.
