The results of the study revealed that financial problem was the main stressor for majority of the single mothers. The emotional life of the single mother was also affected by their single status. Majority of the single mother reported that they felt lonely, helpless, hopeless, lack of identity and lack of confidence.
Why are there so many single moms out there?
The main cause of single parent families are high rates of divorce and non-marital childbearing. A 2019 study from Pew Research Center has shown that the United States has the worlds highest rate of children living in single-parent households.
